The North West Area Inclusion Partnership (NW AIP) has the remit to support the development of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) and wellbeing for children and young people within the North west area of Leeds. Our services are designed to help reduce exclusions; to facilitate swift referral to support services and ensure that schools are supported with those children who present with SEMH needs or require additional support. The North West AIP champions the outcomes of challenging and vulnerable children and their families. It supports schools and helps them to provide quality education for all the children within our care with the aim of reducing exclusions by creating viable alternatives. The North West AIP supports the delivery of Children's Services at both an area and cluster level. We contribute to the vision for Leeds as a Child Friendly City.
The North West AIP is a commissioner and developer of services; it co-ordinates, shares and mobilises the immense talents that exist within our schools and links them to other local support agencies for the benefit of the children and families we support.
The North West AIP supports the development of inclusive provision in our schools ensuring that settings provide successful outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children. Through working in partnership and sharing resources we aim to improve coordination and enhance delivery to enable us to meet the needs of our children.
